Naheed Nenshi has been the mayor of Calgary for 10 years now and has been voted the Best Politician in Calgary yet again. An experienced business professional, past university professor, and powerful community leader, Nenshi leads our city with a fiery passion. With his wide range of experience in many fields over his lifetime, his true purpose lies in making cities work better. A Toronto-born and Calgary-raised individual, Naheed continues to lead our city year after year, battle after battle, with unyielding passion and community involvement.

As a community leader during this time, Naheed had a lot of weight on his shoulders as he watched Calgarians, local businesses and communities struggle. Throughout the pandemic, he has made mental health resources readily available as we navigate a new landscape here in the city. As a business advocate, Naheed has stayed up-to-date on the issues and provided online resources for those struggling to make ends meet, as well as promoted charities dedicated to helping others during this time. Overall, he promoted the importance of taking care of yourself and others in times of isolation, whether that be mental health or physical illness.
